Our goal is to introduce the Oakland and San Francisco Bay Area communities to Cuban salsa and Rueda de Casino. Our salsa classes focus on helping our students develop their skills, creativity and appreciation for the art of dancing and music. We expose our students to different types of music, Timba, Cuban salsa, Son, Salsa and Cha Cha Cha. We offer a relaxed and fun environment for the beginner, intermediate & advanced dancer. As the name implies, this is "The Lab", a place where you can learn the formula, develop the formula, mix formulas and ultimately, create your own formula!

BEGINNERS:
This is a progressive class that starts the first Tuesday of every month. It focuses on students who are new to Cuban salsa and Rueda de Casino.

- *Foundation moves such as Son Montuno, Caminamos, Un Tarro, Guapea, Enchufla, Dile Que No, Dame Una, Sencillo and more...

INTERMEDIATE:
This class is for students who have a good grip on the beginner’s basic steps and moves and are ready to step it up a notch. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST KNOW basic moves such as: Basic Step, Caminamos, Guapea, Enchufla, Dile Que No, Dame and Vacilala in order to take this class. Send me a message if you have any questions.
In this class we will build on the footwork of the Beginner class and do more complicated moves such as: Setenta (70), Kentucky, Dedo, Sombrero, Paseala, Coca Cola, Setenta Complicado and many more.

Front door should be open but in the event that it's not, you can dial suite #305 on the intercom for access. If you have problems with the intercom, you can call 510-444-9642 which is the number for the studio. I can come down and open the door if you have problems getting in.

PRIVATE LESSONS:
Private lessons are a great way to rapidly improve your dancing. With one on one instruction, your teacher can help you work on the details that will improve the look, style and feel of your dancing in a way that group classes cannot accomplish. Since your teacher has the opportunity to dance with you and/or coach you and your partner, we’re able to focus on your needs which will help you learn faster. We can help you accomplish goals customized for your needs.
Private lessons are offered for singles, couples or groups of four. We can work with you on anything from beginner, intermediate or advanced levels, salsa suelta and more advanced Rueda de Casino moves.
